CARATm

CARATm stands for “Self-reported Asthma Characteristics in Mobile Technologies” and is a mobile application for people with severe asthma, with the aim of monitoring and characterizing the disease through patient self-reported data.This mobile application is under development and may contain bugs. Please report your difficulties and errors to the following email: [email protected] mobile application is a data collection tool to support the consultation of the specialty, through the integration of data in the RAG - Registry of Severe Asthma Portugal (at http://www.asmagrave.pt ) after validation by the doctor. The inclusion of people with asthma in the RAG is always pending prior signature of an informed consent, with the registration having been approved by the Ethics Committee for Health of Centro Hospitalar de São João and the necessary authorizations. Information will also be collected about the use of the application and the model of the mobile device. The collection and processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with what is defined in the general data protection regulation. By using the application, you authorize that the data entered in the CARATm mobile application, including health data, as well as the data generated using the app, can be used for validation and improvement of the app modules, processed and used in the context of studies research and anonymized versions can be transferred or sold to third parties and transferred to other jurisdictions, and they can be integrated in the RAG, after active sharing by the user in the proper module.CARATm was developed by MEDIDA - Medicine, Education, Research, a spin-off from the University of Porto, (http://www.medidasaude.net/) as part of a collaboration between MEDIDA, the PaCeit group of CINTESIS, and Severe Asthma Specialist Network and AstraZeneca Portuguesa.
